LIVE Crystal Sale Rules & Guidelines

If you've never attended one of our LIVE Crystal Sales, I shamelessly recommend it.
We do them on different days/times to accommodate as many people with their different availabilities/different time zones as possible.  We always announce when our LIVE Sales will be ahead of time and you can find out when our next LIVE Sale will be by referring to our Instagram (@etherealcandy) where the sales take place using the live feature.
It's an amazing way to view a large amount of our current stock at discounted prices while getting to connect with other crystal lovers.  (We also tend to show new inventory in our LIVE Sales before listing/offering them anywhere else.) It truly is my favorite form of sales because it allows us to talk to you all more extensively about a crystal more than say a traditional listing or by just sending a photo. It also allows us to just talk in general.  If you've attended one of our lives you may have met a few of our pets or heard some stories we've told.    It also allows you to ask questions which can be extremely important when trying to find the perfect crystal for yourself, someone you love, or a specific purpose.
We feel like the LIVE sales really allow for our personalities to come though, and we feel that's super important.  We're given the honor of connecting you with crystals and that's a very personal experience- so we feel its only right that you're able to get to know us as people.  I always like to say we're "behind the crystals, not behind the scenes." The crystals always are first and foremost- but we want to be active in your crystal choosing experience to better serve you. We try and be as transparent as possible and getting to know who's behind a business is one of the perks of shopping small.

If you're new to our LIVE Sales, it can be a little fast paced.  There's also a delay (usually around 10 seconds) between when I'm speaking and you hearing what I've said- so that can cause some confusion at times.  So for these reason, we need some rules and guidelines.  & let's be honest- with so many things in the mix with these LIVE Sales, we need to have rules so that things can run smoothly.

The Nitty Gritty Details

During a sale, we will have an assortment of items on the table.
We usually have multiple items of one material and we will go through one type of material at a time.  With multiple items within the same material- we label the pieces by letters (A-D for example if there are four pieces.)
If there is a material that we only have one item of, it will not have a letter and we will let you know.
We will hold up the items one by one for your viewing. When we do this we will let you know its letter and the price.
*You can not claim an item until we hold it up and are showing it*
Then, if you like the item, you have the option of claiming it. How you do this is...
*Comment "Sold" "Mine" or "Me" (something to indicate you would like to claim the item) followed by the price of the item and the letter of that item (if applicable)*
(Example, if we are showing Spirit Quartz and there is 5 pieces and we have just held up the first one.  We could say "This is letter A and it's $8" you would comment "Sold $8A" "Mine 8a" or "Me 8a" Or you could interchange the letter and the price so that the letter comes first, we're not picky on that.)
If you just comment "sold" because of the delay, I may be holding up another item at that time and it can get too confusing, so those comments will not count.  This also keeps things a little more fair.
If an item does not have a letter, we will let you know before we show the item and you would just comment sold followed by the price.  This process also aids us in invoicing.  If we need to go back and view the LIVE video again for invoicing purposes it makes things much easier for us when comments are in this format.
*The first person we see on our screen who correctly claims the item with the price and letter (if applicable) will "win" the item.*
Most of the time, when you're commenting, you will almost always show up first on your screen.  This has to do with your internet connectivity.  We go based off of who comes up first on our screen. Jay is always moderating the sale from a separate phone.  If there is any confusion, we go based off who is on Jay's screen first. We will say who wins the item so that you know if you indeed got an item or not if you commented.
*Claiming an item is a commitment to purchase the item.*
Please do not claim an item if you are not intending to follow through with payment after the sale.  No only is it frustrating, but it holds the item back from others who may have wanted it and isn't fair to them.  Also, it's quite a hassle when we remove the item from inventory and then need to re-enter it.  We encourage you to keep a running tally of items you have claimed if you have a budget. Putting items back after the sale also keeps you from a "customer in good standing" status while is what makes you eligible for our Rewards Program (see previous blog post entitled "Ethereal Candy's Reward Program For Live Sales & Flash Sales for more info on the rewards program and eligibility.) If you want to put back an item, you can do while the sale is still going on- just comment and let us know but please keep it to a minimum.
*Please keep "swaps"/"put backs" to a minimum*
We don't mind swapping out an item for another if you find yourself connecting with another item more, but again we ask that you please keep this to a minimum as well.  Constant swapping is a disruption and holds up flow of the sale.  If we find that you are purchasing items just to swap them out, we won't continue to allow you to claim items during the sale.  Again, this is to keep everything fair and allow those who really want an item a fair chance. We ask that you please refrain from doing more than 2 "swaps"/"put backs" per each live event- if you engage in more than 2, you will not be eligible for any perks/Rewards Program incentives going on for that live sale event.
*Please DM us your email address at the end of the sale so that we can send you a PayPal invoice for your claimed items.*
Please be prompt with this as possible so that we can start the long process of invoicing as quickly as possible. (Especially important if it is your first time attending a LIVE sale with us.) This is also part of your commitment to purchase when you claim an item.  If you don't send us your email, we view this as a form of non-payment and it counts as a strike. No other forms of payment/check out are accepted unless approved prior to a sale by Ethereal Candy.
What's a strike you ask?  Well...
*Two strikes, you're OUT!*
Non payment of your invoice or not sending us your email address (also viewed as non payment since you are essentially backing out of your commitment to purchase by not following through) counts as a strike each time.  If it happens twice, your comments to claim items in any future sales will not be valid/we may block your ability to view the live sales- this does not mean you will be blocked from our account.  We will be keeping a running log if this happens to be the case for anyone and Jay will be moderating the comments with this list and your comments will be void if you attempt to claim any future items.  You can still purchase other items from us through messaging or our Etsy shop just no longer from the LIVE Sales.
*Please pay your invoice within 24 hours of it being sent*
Ethereal Candy will always let you know once an invoice has been sent via PayPal. (It will be emailed to the email address you give us) All invoices are itemized, but you will also receive a photo at the end of the LIVE Sale of the items that we have set aside as being claimed by you if requested.  (If you do not pay your invoice within 24 hrs your "customer in good standing" status will be revoked and you will not be eligible for our Rewards Program/any perks going on for that particular sale.) Non payment after 72 hrs is considered non-payment and a strike.

Other information:
*How much is shipping?*
Domestically we ship everything USPS priority mail, flat rate shipping. Please don't ask us to ship with any other method as we need to ship this way to facilitate processing orders and not overwhelm our small town post office.  Also, it's what's best for you.  You will receive your box quicker (1-3 days depending on your location in the USA compared to us) it comes with free insurance (up to $50, we can increase the insurance if you would like at your cost) and it comes with tracking.
Our small box is $7.10. (but can fit quite a few items!) A medium sized box is $14.  We will let you know once we assess the size/quantity of the items you claim which box size would be appropriate for you.
International shipping varies based on country and is priority mail as well (international flat rate.)  Please include your details of your location and we will calculate the shipping for you based on the size of the box necessary for your items claimed/the country in which you reside.
*Can you hold my box since it's flat rate shipping?*
YES! We can hold on to a box for you up to two weeks, to save on shipping costs if you still have room in your box and would like to shop from multiple sales of ours. (We can also combine shipping with flash sale items and occasionally Etsy items- just ask!) You will be responsible for "paying as you claim" and will receive an invoice for each sale unless otherwise discussed. We can hold your box up to two weeks (unless otherwise discussed.) If you would like to keep adding and had a small box, but find yourself needing to upgrade to a medium box...that's easy to do.  On your next invoice we will include the shipping difference. (Example: If you had a small box and your items exceeded the size of a small box and you need a medium box, you already paid $6.95 for a small box so we will charge you $6.95  on the next invoice and put your items in a medium box ($14.)
