SHOP UPDATE PREVIEW: Wednesday, July 18th

Jay and I would like to first and foremost thank everyone who has supported the launch of our new website.  Having a platform that is uniquely us, that we are in complete control of- to encompass our whole Ethereal Candy universe is just indescribable.  So many new things will be coming to the website such as our "From The Bench" section which will be launching at the end of July (date to be announced) and our forthcoming "Home & Accessories" section, which we will be launching in the fall.  (Think everything you would need to cleanse, display, accessorize and nurture your crystal collection.)
That's why we felt it was so important to have previews of what's to come each week.  With so much material arriving each and every week, along with all the growth we are planning- we want to make sure the lines of communication are open and you can be well informed about what you can expect to be on its way to the shop.
Now...on to what you can expect to see this week!

This preview is for the update taking place on Wednesday 7/18 @ 8 pm EST in the "Crystal Cave" section of our website.  This is where you can find all of our currently listed crystals.


JUST IN!- Star Rose Quartz Palmstones from Madagascar
These just arrived this week and we couldn't be more impressed with their gorgeous star formations.  It seems we have been on a bit of a Rose Quartz kick lately with the gorgeous towers we uploaded last week to the site,  as well as the star Rose Quartz spheres that we released from our personal collection in the last Flash Sale on our Instagram account.  So "star" refers to an optical effect caused by an inclusion on the internal structure of the quartz- the inclusion very closely resembles Dumoiterite in structure and makeup.  It's also thought that this could be what causes the lilac/lavender hue that some Rose Quartz from Madagascar has.  How it cleaves within the silicate structure causes a beaming star effect (asteriated) on the surface which can be viewed using a bright light such as a flashlight or phone- and some are easily viewed in natural light. We were lucky enough to be educated about what causes the "star" by someone who works very closely with the specific ones that we will be offering.  Supposedly, the thought behind what causes the star has changed in more recent years due to the progression of technology in terms of examining crystals with a microscope and being able to determine inclusions more definitively.  The previous school of thought was that Rutile inclusions caused the star effect. In any case, whatever causes the star- they're truly something to behold.  A real treasure!
Rose Quartz is known universally as the stone of unconditional love.  Immensely healing to the heart chakra, it teaches one how to give and receive love between you and others, as well as one's self.
Their size make them perfect for holding during meditation, carrying with you in your pocket or purse.

RESTOCK Raw Rose Quartz Pieces from Madagascar 
These glassy, lustrous Rose Quartz chunks have some of the prettiest color that we have seen nd are of exceptional quality. They are absolutely perfect for creating crystal grids, incorporating in to crystal crafts or even using to polish if you're someone who enjoys lapidary as a hobby!


RESTOCK- Amazonite Small/Medium Palmstones from Madagascar
We will also have a listing of Amazonite smaller sized palmstones that we will pick for you based on the one pictured in the listing.  (We allow for selection on some listings, but hope that you'll trust us that the ones a part of this listing are of equal quality- and we will pick the best one for you!) These sold out last time they were stocked in the shop, and we were lucky enough to be able to get slightly larger ones this time around.  They have a gorgeous Caribbean blue color.
Amazonite is an excellent stone to carry with you and place throughout your home.  Metaphysically, it protects against EMFs, which we are constantly exposed to this day in age technologically speaking.  Our computers, cell phones, microwaves- everything that seemingly makes our lives easier- OF COURSE! Haha.  Since it acts as a filter in that sense, it also acts as a filter in terms of how we receive information and process it.  I also personally love to use Amazonite when working with animals, as they can use all of the protection they can get- being the little innocent vessels that they are.

JUST IN!- Graphic Amazonite Spheres from Madagascar (pictured above)
We have been waiting on some spectacular Amazonite with Smoky Quartz spheres- and they're finally here!  We have a variety of sizes available (somethings for everyone's needs and budgets) and they will begin to be available this week.  Every single one has absolutely beautiful chatoyancy (sheen/flash) and vibrant color in addition to stunning Smoky Quartz striping. Amazonite in sphere form is excellent to have in your space to protect against EMFs since a sphere emits its energy 360 degrees.
Everything mentioned in the previous description applies to these spheres, but they carry the added benefit of Smoky Quartz.  The presence of the Smoky Quartz allows for the added benefits of grounding, and furthered protection in a more broad sense.

Spirit Quartz from South Africa 
We will be including some Spirit Quartz from our extensive stock in this update.  We work very closely with a few mining companies in South Africa, which is the only place in the world that quartz forms in this structure.  We have been carrying Spirit Quartz since the conception of EC, and pride ourselves in being educated about the different qualities and variations.
We will be posting some individual pieces for sale, as well as a listing option for small very dark Amethyst pieces that we will select for you. (Which are old stock, and dwindling in the mines tremendously, especially over the past two years.)

Labradorite Freeform Displays from Madagascar 

We're continuing to unload from our huge crystal curating trip in May if you can believe it or not.  We will have a few Labradorite as well as Labradorite Spectrolite freeform displays in a variety of sizes available as a part of this update.  Spectrolite, up until recently, was only used to refer to a particular Labradorite feldspar found in Finland.  However, recently in Madagascar- higher quality Labradorite is coming out of the mines with extremely similar color play and a much more vibrant flash.  This Madagascan material now also goes by the name Spectrolite. Something else that marks Labradorite feldspar as Spectrolite, is its darker base color.  

Labradorite is known as the stone of magic.  It helps one to become aware and connect with the vibrations of universal consciousness.  It also shields one from unwanted energies as not to allow them to enter in to your aura. 

Laterite Quartz from Madagascar

Not commonly seen, these specimens are included with Iron and Aluminum.  Their quartz clarity makes for a beautiful front row view of the inclusions! These will be a listing where you allow us to choose the perfect stone for you. 

There isn't much on Laterite Quartz in the metaphysical community.  Due to the inclusions, it acts almost conductive and would be perfect in pairing with your other crystals to amplify their energies as well as giving a little extra "umph" to crystal grids. 

Celadonite Included Quartz from Madagascar 

A rare, light minty green inclusion within clear quartz.  There will be a few listed individually, as well as an listing where we will pick the perfect one for you. 

I always tell people that Celadonite is PERFECT for meditation.  It allows you to "quiet the noise" so that you can focus on what you're doing and apply intention. 

RESTOCK- Golden Healer Palmstones from Madagascar

FINALLY!  Quite a few of you have been asking and we were more than happy to oblige in finding some beautiful pieces for you. "Golden Healer" is  trade name for Iron included quartz. It is widely used in the metaphysical healing community, and a favorite of light workers and crystal collectors alike.  Their size and shape make them not only perfect to carry, but to use in crystal healing/reiki/shamanic work sessions. 

RESTOCK- Garnierite Palmstones from Madagascar

We were able to select some more of those gorgeously green Garnierite.  The pocket that is currently being mined is putting out some of the most visually striking Garnierite that we have seen come out of Madagascar. What creates the green color is the presence of Nickel- and boy do these pieces have a lot of it!

Garnierite helps you to see situations clearly so that you can make the best decisions for your highest good and highest healing. 

JUST IN!- Carnelian from Madagascar 

We have some beautiful Carnelian freeform displays that will be listed tomorrow, as well as some truly stunning deep maroon colored Carnelian polished pieces (think large palmstone)  I am not one for selecting Carnelian displays- every single display that we carry in the shop is handpicked by Jay!  He always seems to find the most aesthetically striking ones with the most incredible energy.  He tends to go for ones with interesting banding and color.  I wanted to bring some exceptionally dark polished pieces to the shop.  I'm always drawn to large polished pieces that you can hold and resemble organs from the body.  Weird to think of initially, but not when you look at the metaphysical properties of Carnelian. You will be able to choose each piece. 

Carnelian anchors you in reality and helps you to "be here."  Carnelian is especially helpful for those who need help feeling at home on this planet and in their physical body.  Carnelian has the power to "clear" other crystals around them, and is one of the most prominent stones for the root chakra. See, thinking of organs isn't too far off, right?! 

JUST IN!- Red Hematite Included Quartz Palmstones from Madagascar 

These pieces are truly stunning!  We were waiting for just the right ones to come along- and it was well worth the wait.  They have vibrant red veining and they are the perfect size to carry with you. 

Red hematite is exceptionally grounding and protective.  It is often a "go to" for those when doing any sort of journeying work because it anchors your physical body in this reality.  It is also thought to aid in work/healing surrounding anything to do with blood.  Be it blood in the sense of ancestry, or physically speaking. 

JUST IN!- Dioptase from North Africa 

These are truly stunning!  We were able to select a few pieces of Dioptase on matrix that have a gorgeous pigment to them from an old stock collection. 

Dioptase is incredible for work associated with the heart chakra, but helps all your chakras to reach a higher level of functioning.  It is excellent for those who are being attuned, given rights, or initiated in to any sort of spiritual work. You will be able to choose your piece. 

RESTOCK- Green Opal Palestine & JUST IN- XL Sphere from Madagascar

These are a favorite amongst our customers it seems!  This batch is a tad smaller than the last, but the color is just as beautiful and unique- each piece different from the last. 

We also have a very unique Green Opal sphere that is quite large- it is the first Green Opal sphere we have veer brought in to the shop and for good reason. You will be able to choose your piece.

Green Opal is a great heart chakra healer and helps one regulate their emotions in times of stress or upheaval.  Green Opal is also said to aid in the common cold and boost one's immune system. 

RESTOCK- Flower Agate from Madagascar 

We've restocked on our best selling Flower Agate Palmstones (you will be able to choose your piece) as well as continuing to release our newly offered Flower Agate freeform displays.  Flower Agate is a fairly new mining find out of Madagascar, with flower like appearance due to inclusions of coral.  So many people that I have spoken to instantly say that this stone reminds them of mermaids- and I have to say, I completely agree with you! 

JUST IN!- Small Size Black Moonstone Palmstones from Madagascar

This is a new, smaller size for our shop.  Each one has flash and we will pick the perfect one for you. 

Ocean Jasper from Madagascar 

We have a few different forms of Ocean Jasper in stock, all hand selected.  We have some smaller old stock high quality small druzy displays as well as some spheres from the closed Ocean Jasper mine as well as the "new wave" Ocean Jasper in larger freeforms. You will be able to choose each piece. 

There has been a rumor for years that the Ocean Jasper mines have been closed.  However, it seems that while Ocean Jasper with high quartz content (druzy) is no longer being actively mined- there is still Ocean Jasper coming out of Madagascar, which I like to refer to as "new wave" Ocean Jasper to set it apart from old stock Ocean Jasper since its more recently mined.  "New Wave" Ocean Jasper tends to be bit more vibrant in color, and as previously mentioned- has less quartz content. 

We haven't specifically decided on which pieces will be included in the update, but you can be sure that there definitely will be some Ocean Jasper to be had! (We have one incredible "New Wave" Ocean Jasper sphere that has a natural druzy pocket that almost looks like a heart!) 

Madagascan Quartz Towers

We have many different varieties in stock still from our crystal curating trip back in May.  We came home with over 600 towers, and if you can believe it- we're almost near the end of our supply with around 100 pieces left.  But don't worry, we definitely have saved some of the best for last!  We have Amethyst fully polished towers, included towers, Amethyst Celestial towers, Smoky Amethyst, Smoky Quartz, Clear Quartz and more still available.  We will be choosing a few from our current stock to be a part of this update. 

We hope that this preview gives you a little insight to what will be included and what you can look forward to in tomorrow's update.  It's our hope that these previews will help you find something that "calls out" to you and gives you more insight & information in to the pieces that will be available.
